1.2606 / H12 โ€” High-Hardness Thermal-Fatigue-Resistant Repair Welding Wire

A tungsten-alloyed hot-work repair material for dies operating under high temperature and high stress where hardness, wear resistance, and thermal-fatigue resistance are required.

Typical hardness: HRC 55 - 58

Recommended processes: TIG welding and laser welding

Alloy / standard reference: EN 1.2606 / X37CrMoW5-1 | Comparable to AISI H12

Key Features

  • Tungsten-alloyed system improves thermal-fatigue resistance
  • High as-welded hardness and wear resistance
  • Suitable for high-temperature, high-stress service
  • Supports durable restoration of hot-work surfaces

Typical Applications

  • Aluminum, magnesium, and zinc die-casting dies
  • Hot-extrusion dies for aluminum and copper alloys
  • Hot-forging dies
  • Glass-forming molds

Application guidance: Before repair welding, carefully control preheating, deposit thickness, interpass temperature, and post-weld slow cooling.

The information above is provided as a typical selection reference. Final supply condition, hardness, chemical composition, and welding procedure shall be confirmed by the order and the corresponding batch material certificate.
